Manage Notes

Capture account, contact, and workspace context without losing it in email or chat.

Use Notes for context, decisions, and research that should stay attached to the sales workflow.

What Notes Are For

Notes are best for information that should remain available later, such as:

  • Discovery notes.
  • Buying context.
  • Meeting summaries.
  • Qualification details.
  • Internal decisions.
  • Research about an account or contact.

Use a task instead when the item needs an owner and due date.

Create a Note

Open Notes and choose New note.

A note includes:

  • Title.
  • Description.
  • Linked entity.

The linked entity connects the note to the account, contact, or other CRM record it supports.

Edit and Remove Notes

Open a note to update the title, description, or linked record.

Remove notes only when the information should no longer be available to the workspace. Deleted notes cannot be recovered from the note action.

Where Notes Appear

Notes appear on the Notes page and in linked record views.

Open an account profile to review notes alongside tasks, contacts, upcoming activity, and activity history. Use contact profiles for person-specific context and message history.

Create a note when context would otherwise be scattered across private messages, meeting notes, or email threads.

For each useful note:

  • Use a clear title.
  • Keep the description focused on durable context.
  • Link the note to the right account or contact.
  • Add a task separately when the note creates a next action.
